Jury to Decide on Sturgis Trademark
A federal judge has ruled that the trademark dispute between Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Inc. and Rushmore Photo & Gifts over rights to the name “Sturgis” should be decided by a jury. The ruling stated,”If Sturgis means the source of products, then Sturgis is registrable because it identifies the source of products. If Sturgis means the event itself, then, Sturgis is not registrable because it does not identify the source of a product.”

Kardashian Cosmetic Line in Trademark Dispute
Organic makeup brand Kroma claims its sales have plummeted since the introduction of the Kardashian sisters’ Khroma cosmetic line launched last year. Kroma initiated a trademark infringement suit in the U.S., resulting in a preliminary injunction against the Kardashian brand. Stay tuned for what happens next.
