Earlier this summer, following the trademark registration of several U.S. ZIP codes by Anheuser-Busch, we told you that the company planned to launch three ZIP code beers in the fall. Following taste tests at Budweiser-sponsored music events, the three winners have now been announced. They are: Los Angeles (91406), St. Louis (63118), and Williamsburg, VA (23185).
The ZIP code beers are part the company’s “Project 12” where its 12 brewmasters from around the U.S. were asked to come up with new small-batch beers. Sampler packs of the winning ZIP code beers will be available soon.
This update still leaves us in the dark about the company’s plans for its trademark registrations for U.S. airport codes and area codes.
